Seeing the reality of God

February 18, 2018

In pre-industrial times, people would often live in one valley all their lives, never venturing out to the next valley, much less cross continents.  Their world views were confined by their geography.  Today, we can jet from one continent to another in hours, experience multiple languages just walking down the city street, and encounter people from all over the globe.

Setting our Minds on God

February 25, 2018

Today, I would like to invite us to look at how setting our minds on God results in a changed way of living.  As we hear the familiar text in which Jesus slams Peter for thinking like the world around him and then goes on to call people to take up the cross and follow, ponder what Jesus is asking us!

Sunday, March 11, 2018

We need to take a look at the culture which facilitates mass killings in the US, as in no other developed nation on earth.  We need to look at how often people of color are gunned down.  We need to look at how commonly gun suicides in the US take place, especially among Native peoples.  And we need to do something about these things.
