Have you ever been in a situation of conflict with another person?  Of course—we all find ourselves in these situations, and not infrequently.  Aside from a bit of verbal or physical abuse, or running away, what other actions are possible?  And how does this relate to our faith?  Jesus knew quite well that these things would be happening and he has provided us with both a way and resources to address them.

Have you ever experienced someone’s extraordinary generosity? What was that like for you.  How do you feel as you think about it?    Or perhaps, you have been an observer as someone has been extra generous with another person.  What was that like?  How did it make you feel?  When you hear of some rich person giving large amounts of money to a favorite charity, what goes through your head or heart?  Now, do you think or feel as though God is extraordinarily generous?   Ponder this as you listen to Jesus’ parable.
