New Sermon series: "Joy in Humility"

During September and October, we will be exploring how humility is a key ingredient in becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. When we allow God's love to really take root within us, we become ready to let go of our egos and embrace the love of God more fully.  This is how humility becomes the fertile soil of our lives in Christ.

What Possesses your Heart?

Sunday, September 8, 2019

The Gospel text today is one of the so-called “hard sayings” of Jesus, in which he tells us that we must abhor our families and give up all possessions if we wish to follow him as a true disciple.   How do we do justice to this text and yet live in this world?

Faith or Pride?

Sunday, October 6, 2019

Sunday, October 13, 2019

In what do you Trust?

Sunday, October 27, 2019

We spend time justifying ourselves in our own minds.  It is as common as breathing.  Our little speeches to the judge inside us are all a little different, but they follow common patterns.  We try to down play our failings and lift up our successes to justify ourselves.
